May 30, 2009 BOD Meeting Minutes

Jason Luciano called the meeting to order at 5:05 PM
at Pings Restaurant in Worcester, MA.
In attendance
Jason Luciano, Jim Frissell, Eleanor & Mike Para,
Doris Bizier, Donna D. Nardi, Nanette Prideaux &
Chris Procaccini.
Secretary's report
Jimmy made a motion to waive the reading of the
minutes from the last meeting. Donna 2nd. Unanimous
approval. Fred Comstock sent a request for a
revision of the minutes. Board discussed accuracy of
minutes as written, Jason requested motion to amend
as requested by Mr. Comstock, no motion was made.
Treasure's report
No update as the last report was given at May
meeting.
Committee reports
Show:
Show location is set, Alice Smith has agreed to be
secretary, premium list is being worked on. Donna
Nardi will be doing the auctions, items will go to
her. We need to put together flyers and 50/50 for
the show packet. Doris is doing 50/50, but will only
be present on the second day.
Lots of ideas were discussed. Further discussion to
be taken up at the next general meeting.
Rescue:
Gail was not in attendance as she was on vacation.
Ways & Means:
Glad National is over. Working on getting items for
the fall specialties.
Membership:
Second reading was done for the following: Alan
Alford, Dorothy Martel Baker, Marianne & J. Jeffrey
Welsh, Victoria Wilt.
All were unanimously voted in by secret ballot.
Doris read a new member letter that will go out to
all new members. A second letter was read and needs
revision. She needs more 2009 membership cards.
Nanette will provide to her.

Unfinished Business
E-mail communications - Will
be discussed after Constitution is amended.
Community person - Public education. Donna Nardi
discussed the idea of getting more active in the
community. Parades, events etc. Need someone to
Chair. Discuss at general meeting.
Pool party being moved to July 26th.
New Business
After discussion with AKC by Jason, there are some
changes which need to be made.
Amendments were mailed to all Board members
05/21/2009 for review prior to the meeting. All were
discussed. Jimmy made a motion to accept the changes
as presented and as previously discussed with AKC
and Eleanor 2nd. Proposed revised Constitution to be
mailed to membership and voted on at next meeting.
Jason proposed
Compliance person to be appointed to handler further
concerns on adherence to the MBTC Constitution. This
would eliminate the situation just experienced with
Fred Comstock e-mailing some board members, and
calling others, to raise concerns of staying in
compliance. Jason will be followed up at the general
meeting.
Next meeting, Sunday June 14, 2009 05:00pm at Ping's
Restaurant in Worcester, MA.
Motion to adjourn by Donna Nardi, Jimmy Frissell 2nd
and meeting adjourned at 06:15pm.
